easy.
Get yourself some Draino style "kitchen crystals," a coffee can and your parts.
Pour about 1/4 cup of the crystals into the can and fill it halfway with water........Do NOT do this inside as the fumes are extremely noxious. It will also smell like ammonia so the neighbors might...
ewok and I were trying to figure a way to drill and hole and pin them together....
here's a pic of modded keepers....these were to fit GP800/Raider mounts...
they definatly need to be cut....I tried a set of non modded KK's and they woudlnt fit..
blaster shafts are notorious for stripping....SJ's only if you dont align it right..
I think youre right dre..the key is more ini the PUMP vs. the motor....gotta shim the pump with no intd. shaft in the boat...then its easy, you can see the positionh of the shaft thru the bulkhead
alignment...
the keepers need to be notched, but other than that they fit fine...
wavedemon told me about them and they fit right up! Ill post up a pic of a the keeper GP mod
it was done by a semi elderly rider/gentleman from savanannah :tapedshut::biggrin:
it will be like the difference between 650 and 1000cc power
your new adjustable Xmetal pole will be PEFECT in this application..with this hull being so light its about to affect the pole length

i used to break them all the time when I'd install used ones...then started putting new ones in and no longer a problem
then someone turned me on to GP mounts...:shhh: Raider mounts will work as well
