Why a limited 701? Madmats limited 701 in his Lightweight SXR is the EXACT same speed as my stock SXR motor with a pipe and flywheel. (We raced and were exactly the same, bottom to top)
Trinity also makes a $600 version. Thats what I have and am VERY happy with it. Light and super strong

glad to see your coming back to ride and cause trouble!
SXR's come stock with polystyrene (although it is form fitted) and a drain plug, they actually have the back open right from the engine compartment, (I don't understand this, it must hold some water back there while you are riding...)
Going to re-attach my Fuel shutoff switch (and rip the carbs apart again). It runs great at home, but after a drive down to the lake it was a bitch to start...dumped some gas and sludge out of the exhaust after I got down to the lake.
This issue has gotten alot worse. The pump rattles like crazy. Gonna rip it apart tomorrow.
BTW...NEVER had a problem with this pump until I replaced the impeller last July, then it worked like CHIT
Wouldn't pump dump exhaust cause cavitation??...your basically stuffing air into your pump area...I still like the straight up rear exhaust. It is always under water and keeps the exhaust away from your ski.
Not sure if different is always good.....I don't like my pump dump scupper either...
Nice job Monkey.:headbang: I was planning on heading out, but at that point there were 44 mph south winds...I was worried about breaking down and getting blown into Canada and hitting an iceburg. I even had the ski fired up and hitched to my car...maybe tomorrow or Monday.
