a good way to hold it on would be contact cement. youd have to apply a lot and install the seal while the contact cement is still wet and thick.

is a new oem x2 seal molded for the x2's contours? or is it just a bendable roll? it would seem that if it can be shaped/reshaped, you could put the seam elsewhere. :dunno: i guess i hafta look at one

im not sure about weight, but the hood on steves white ski is ridiculously light and takes a LOT of abuse. i had him make mine like a tank even though im a poser and cant ride. i shouldve gone with a standard..... not that it wouldve reduced my poserdome or anything.

a coil doesnt "store" anything. when theres a pulse of electricity on the primary side, it immediately creates the spark through the secondary side. i understand what youre saying, but the term "store" makes it sounds as if it has capacitor qualities, which it does not. the input volatge and...

similar in that they take a low voltage and convert into a higher voltage and the fact that they work together to deliver the spark, but a coil doesnt "store" any power. it gets its power from the stored charge from the capacitor within the cdi.

thats how a capacitor works, not a coil.

im curious about your outcome. the one i just made is noticably lighter than an untouched stocker, but i didnt weigh them.
