Still haven't watched a Dave video or read a book, but this thread did get me to want to pay off all my consumer debt. Update: Car paid off. 1 Credit Card to go ($3000) (should take about 3 months without a car payment!). Then I get to work on the wife....(1 mini van $13000) (3 credit cards...

    Late Season Lake Erie Ride

Looks like fun!!! Next season, we gotta get our two crews together to ride on wave days. Our wave days are rarely the same. You guys can come down for some NE Surf close to shore surf and we'll come up for some SW far out Surf. It's only like a 2 1/2 hour drive. Well worth it for a long day...

SXR I cut 8 inches off my sxr rideplate!

Unless your going to race, chop it. It will pull your nose up a little higher for jumping and will actually put your pump deeper in the water for better hookup. MattSmith, You are the SXR king. What you do on basically a stocker in the surf is amazing!

SXR mat kit for 800 sxr

When you turf the rails. (you'll have to glass the little holes from the rivets)...just use a large piece and start at the bottom...glue the rails and turf 3x and let it dry completely. As you begin to fold and mold it over the top (using a heat gun for sure) cut parts off. These rails are not...

Surfriding running dual 38s on larger motors?

I like IT! I'm going to use this as an 8th Grade Geometry question! Lets say you have a 2" pipe and a 4" pipe, just off the cuff, you'd think the 4" would flow twice the volume as the 2", but let's take a look at the area of those: Area = Pi(R^2) Area of the 2" = 3.14159(1^2) = 3.14159" Area...

Surfriding Dead NGK plugs.... is it just me?

I can run the same plugs for 2 months season with no issues (BR8ES) in fresh water. As soon as I hit salt, I have to change them out every day.

    SXR 2004 SXR Bog Issue

yep...drain the tank x 2...mop it out with paper towels...then clean out the carbs again. Check under your gas cap to make sure the rubber disc is still there...mine tore and caused a huge water leak into the tank.

Did JK show up? Any reports on how he's doin?
  17. djkorn1

    Dammit!!!!

Yeah, mix poor maintenance, crappy wrenching skills, laziness and beating the living chit out of a jetski and this is what you get...I think it can actually be welded back together. The rest of the motor is perfect (pistons, rings, cyllinder walls, crank, all look and move like new)...going to...

Surfriding opinions on changin wavedaze to early may next yr?

There ya go...no need for drysuits if it was 88 and 90 the last two years...thats warmer than Oct... So its warmer. Better Swell. 7 Other jetski events going on in Sept & Oct. Sponsors could make it. Pro Riders could make it. Sounds like a 5x win to me to change the date.

Surfriding opinions on changin wavedaze to early may next yr?

The October date is the same distance from Tona as the April date. (about 90 days) btw...you can't not step on the toes of a sponsored ride. You are VERY worried about the Thrust ride, but not the 3 other sponsored rides in September in the north that have gone on for 12 years, 10 years, and...
