YEP THE NYLON WASHER WORKS OUT GREAT. It replaces the bearing. It saved my UMI and I also replaced the nut with a split set collar like TBM sells now I have no problems with the UMI.:beerchug:

But if you ever have a problem with the bladder like a hole or rot you will have to cut the ski open to fix unless you are going to have a removable panel on each side.

If the scupper leaks it leaks into the engine compartment not into the tray area because the 2” pcv pipe is sealed at the back of the ski and at the tray wall.

I like to have any water that is in there sit on the ski body and not sit on or in the foam this is why I have channels across the bottom and back to the drains.

On a good day if my boat was any smaller than 30' I wouldn't attempt to go to party cove those waves are just to big at times for a small craft.

Remember the foam adds structural integrity the two part foam locks everything together but yes I did think of that but opted to go this rout.

Drill holes and pour the foam in it expands a lot. I place a weight over the holes I drilled to keep the foam from expanding out or simply stand there and hold something over the drilled hole until the foam is done expanding. You may have to drill 4 or 5 holes then patch.
