I did it a couple times...the last time, another jetski wake pushed my nose under and I smashed a softball size hole in the bottom of my ski. Won't try that again.
I did this. Works great...put a thin strip of turf padding on the top of your rails first or your elbows will hate you.
If you can find my build thread on my old SXR, it shows how I did the padding.
I've been running the cranks for about 10 years. No probs. I would just buy a crank and rebuild it yourself with a topend from wiseco. There really isn't that much to it.

I like filming these guys when they are not competing, I think it just comes out better. I have some KILLER vid of Joe Kenney from back in the day just ripping around in New Jersey with no shoes and no wetsuit. Would love to be able to post that some day.
