You might think about something like this to allow your motor to breath better and close off some of the water from getting into your hand holds. Pardon the crudeness of my sketch... not an artist or engineer... Just an idea to think about...

You're going to leave the hand holds open like that? No buckets or anything? That will give you plenty of air flow to the carb... but plenty of water too I would think...

I think the MSD will give you more than a modified CDI will provide however; I run Pro-Tec modified CDIs in all my skis... Not sure on the Skat-Trak prop pitch, as I've never used one before... Ive always just gone with a Solas. Also, like Jetskiking said, watch your reduction nozzle bore...

I found that for best results, call Dave at Impros... He will ask your set up, riding conditions, etc and recommend a good prop. Also, yeah, you could repitch your current prop. I'm running a Solas concord 13/17 w/3mm cut back... works welll over the 14.5/18 concord I had in there before...
