    One more thing on the hood liner. I not only epoxied it in, using panel fusor from McMaster, but once that set up, I used 2.5" wide strips of fiber glass cloth around the edge (the seam between the liner and the hood). That way it was really sealed up and strong.

    yup. But once the resin drys, then rip the cardboard away and just epoxy in the glass liner. The cardboard is just a template. And, since I made mine the way I did, it really seams to add a lot of structual support... not only in the liner epoxied to the sides, front and back of the hood, but...

    My grab handles and fire ex cover are painted on my blaster.... here is what I found: Since I don't use the fire extinguisher compartment, it has lasted fine for about 4 years now. However, the grab handles, because they get used more frequently, are another story. The paint is chipping off...

    I always use a heat gun, but you have to get the feel for it. Just enough heat to make it plyable, but no more. I can usually use one solid piece for each side and mould it into the footholds so as to have no seams in the foothold. Here is one I did for my friends SXR...

    yeah, you don't want to leave those hand holds open, you will get a lot of water in that way. I would just pop the liner out and do it up...

    Check out this post... blowsion sells a block of plate, that has a little opening left water drainage... or, just use duct tape... gp to reply number 24 for the pic... you'll also see in that same reply the next pic showing to drill a hole under the rear part of the hood for additional...
