:bigeyes: LOL... I ride with a cop most of the time. But, besides that, most of the law around here stays closer to the city of Buffalo... too much action there to bother out where we ride. However, I did see the DEC cops putting their 30' boat in by us... so who knows what this summer...

I'm running UMI springs in my skis... but Vomitspot told me that his Wamilton's pole spring was better than any he's used before. Many guys here don't use them at all, and just tighten the bolt more to hold it in place, or use two SS bolts and nuts to crank it down tight.

I took IDOK's idea, I think it was his, and cut the straps from an old PFD... they already have the heavy duty plastic fastiners sewn in. Just cut them to the right lenth, and press in some grommets for the mounting bolts... and... hood straps.
