    Lamey Timing Curve Needed

Brian with all due respect. i think you need to reread this post form the beginning. i certainly did not go off on Dan or DASA until you posted and said i need to stop bashing. I dont want this thread to turn into a bash fest. i prefer to keep it about timing curves. I'll PM you too...

    Lamey Timing Curve Needed

Oh, one more thing. I am sooooo tired of hearing that peopel are running ragged they cant get to the phone. If i buy a product from you, i expect support on it. It doesnt have to be from Dan himself, if he has someone in the shop that knows their stuff about a particular product thats...

    Lamey Timing Curve Needed

I said in my post I UNDERSTAND their point. in the first part of my post. Also i dont think "I spoke to Dan Lamey. he suggested 24 degrees to 5000rpm and then pull it at 3 per 1000. I tried to get a little more into the setup and into some questions with him but he wanted no...

    Lamey Timing Curve Needed

The problem is, any builder i talk to just wants to cover themselves. I can understand where they are coming from but it ends up giving me very little info. Unless they build the engine or have it in front of them on a dyno they refer to the... too many variables to even get you started...

Spinning my prop. problem or pitched too low?

droc, i was told the EXACT opposite of what you are saying. while idling aroudn it will suck air out of the engine compartment, when under speed the pump cavity gets pressureized and pushes water ino any spaces, including toward the engine compartment.

Spinning my prop. problem or pitched too low?

Nothing in the grate and the prop is brandnew. I think you guys found the problem for me. Speaking to Gil on the phone i relaized i dont have a seal in place between my shoe and the pump. Its just bolted together with that metal lip tokeep it alligned. I bought the pump used and the...

Spinning my prop. problem or pitched too low?

Ive been told an airleak at the midshaft assembly in in the engine compartment would actually work just the opposite. It would fill my hull up with water rather then sucking air intot he pump. So it sounds like i am either wayyy underpropped or my nozzle is too big. i dontthink 85mm is...

Spinning my prop. problem or pitched too low?

its not just the end cone, its the full tbm supercone pump stuffer. I changed to the largest of the 3 cones that come with the setup and it didnt help all that much

Spinning my prop. problem or pitched too low?

It is a c75 prop. The only place i can see it leaking from is the intermediate shaft. The pump show is freshaly silicones in and im pretty sure i did a good job sealing it up. I was thinking the nozzle may be bored too far. will any 144 yamaha nozzle bolt up properly? Ill try going...

Spinning my prop. problem or pitched too low?

    Yamahammers X-2

Not all small pins have the same porting. not all large pins have the same. The 750SX cylinder was the best for bottomend. the XIR was a good cylinder too. Shawn, i dont have a 701 in mine but it is 701 based...

    Island Racing

islandracing.net Brought my prop and pump in to be serviced. Prop repitched/cutback. Carl did a great job, I would definitely recomend him if you need some prop work done. Everything fits together perfect. The pump was running pretty tight before. Everything runs REALLY nice now...

    Starting point for Lamey Jetting

yeah i tried getting a local shop to do it. He said no it would take too long and hed have to close the shop down for a day. I wouldnt trust a regular yamaha/kawi place to do it.
