While we are on the foam subject, I just glassed over the factory foam hole when I put in my one-way valve. Should I bother topping off the other factory hole and glassing it to ensure a good seal or is tape generally fine?
I've heard indirectly from a reputable jetski mechanic that a drypipe is the way to go for a freeride/freestyle sxr (along w/various other mods). Can you think of any bottom end sxr setup that would run better off a dry pipe as opposed to a wet pipe?
You can't really tell in this pic but there is noticeable wear on my driveshaft about 10" from the tip of the spline. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or is it normal? I probably have less than 30hrs on the ski - 05 sj.
Pete - good idea on the waiver. Man, and I had my lawyer on standby too! j/k
kingnothing - get a limiting rope if you are going to try rolls. Plenty of suggestions on the board...
Anyone else excited yet??
I just used the 2lb uscomposites stuff to backfill my one-way valve. Mixed in 8oz portions and should have stopped halfway through the second portion  . Mix it 1:1. It pours like maple syrup and starts to expand in 30-45 seconds so mix fast. Wait time probably varies depending on...
Add some skills and a little hp to those ankle slappers and you came up with some mighty fine pics :Banane09:
Looks gorgeous down there. Thanks for sharing...
I checked out a pair of the EVS Vision's yesterday and could have gotten a good discount on them but it seemed like the knee piece would catch water and costantly flip out of whack
Tooth guard - definitely. I like those ankle braces that lace up too. I'm sure I could make a shoe fit...
Hey kingnothing3 if you are going down the Eastern Shore on 13 you should check out the wavejunkies in virginia beach. I wouldn't make a special trip for it though if it is off your route.
Fyi, don't bother with the North Carolina Outer Banks because they are supposedly very harsh on pwc's in...
What's wrong with the stock rail caps - do they get trashed in surf? I've got a buddy with his hull stripped right now. Should we not bother putting the stockers back on or use turf instead? Hope I'm not hijacking...
It's nice to see this thread bumped. Are Mike, kingnothing and me the only ones doing a clinic? The rest of yas don't know what you're missing... Free harassment, free laughs, free beer (for Pete)...
Jerry, let me know when you find out what type of knee pads they use. Do they offer any support? I tried a drugstore knee brace in Daytona on the outside of my wetsuit but it didn't last three minutes. There's too many to choose from on EVS' website...
I like the EVS AB04 ankle support...
Not that kind... Who all out there is using any safety gear other than a helmet? I'm looking for some suggestions on ankle braces that will not interfere with my footwells. I'd love to hear what else yall are using. I don't mind looking like a tool when I get stupid as long as the gear works...
I might be wrong but I think you need the registered version of quicktime pro. Really, I just wanted to say I like this avatar MUCH better than the previous crackheads. Some of them were truly disturbing :puke:
I do have the female adapter but I am not clear on how to secure this to the hull w/o a flange. I do not plan on cutting into the sidetray and defoaming so the hole will be much larger than the fitting. I was planning on running 1.5" pvc with sump one-way (~2.25"). Alternatively, I have the...
Where did you find the plumbing fixture? I've checked Ferguson, Home Depot, and Lowes. Plumbing, sewage, irrigate, and electrical. Can't find any kind of threaded flanged piece. The employees at these stores all think I am nuts
