I wouldn't run it like that, as others have said. It's dangerous. I had a head come loose once and it ended up with a rather large explosion...
If anyone happens to be anywhere near a stock or AM head for a Yamaha 650/701/760 or a Seadoo 650-787, would you mind doing a quick measurement of the LxWxH? Just want to check fitment for something. Really appreciate it :)
So you think it might be the race or something for the bearing inside the midshaft? That's what I thought too, but couldn't find any pictures that looked similar. I'll know tonight and post pictures.
I haven't been home to tear into it, hopefully tonight. But last time I was out, I was getting a lot of water and it cavitated on tail stands. It also vibrates like crazy now. I pulled up to the beach and I could hear the water running in near the midshaft housing. Also found the attached images...
M12, I'll see what I have and give it shot. I'm off today, going to try to make some progress on it :) Is yours running okay now? I think we're going out tomorrow before noon. There is a non-zero percent chance I might have have the wet bike running for a test.
Having some trouble here and hoping for some help from a fellow stunt owner. The glassed in threads (in the hull) for the motor mounts do not use the standard superjet bolt size. They aren't deep enough for me to get a tap into it to check size and I can't find a single bolt that will thread...
I haven't had much luck searching... Anyone have the mcmaster carr part number or thread size/pitch/length (or a place to purchase) the mikuni throttle/choke plate screws?
I think I figured it out. On the opposite side of the damage, there was a tiny little chip out of the top of the piston, almost like something was wedged in between the wall and piston. Upon closer examination of that side, there WAS something in there. I don't know what and will probably never...
