Put the small end of the crank in a vise with a cloth ... the coupler facing out.. you dont need to tighten the vise on it just so when it turns it stops the crank from moving.... very simple works every time for me with no damage to the crank.

alright ill let you know... i got the exhaust modded and i just picked up a 550 for my friend and were going to take the motor apart so i might take you up on the porting idea for the 550..still waiting for it to get warmer to paint!!!! whats with this weather
im rebuilding my carb and on the pump side (side without the diaphragm) Its a mikuni 44 . When i took it apart there was one gasket and one other thing that looked like a gasket but was rubber ... in my rebuild kit i would have 2 gaskets left over if i put it back together the way it was...

Inside the hull is painted motor mounts are in and hardware for straps are in.... also been working on polishing the bored reduction nozzle inside as well as the front entry to the pump.. Going to blueprint the Pump stator as soon as i can get the prop off. Tubbies should be in by...
Digital camera broke but i finished the flatdeck.
Filled the bondline inside the hull and reinforced it with 1708
fixed all the holes in the hull..
Next will be figuring out how to do this handle pole mount ...
