Just shim the back of the ride plate down about 1/4" and see how you like that if you like how that feel's then you can look for a extended plate or ride it like that.
that's funny we have a waveraider that fell out of the back of a pickup doing 50 m.p.h. but it was fixable that one is toast!

Antifreeze eat's engine bearing's real fast 2.5 gal. sound's to me like you might be in trouble !
