Who's coming? When: September 12th and 13th Location: Angola, NY (30 min south of Buffalo, NY) - to be held at The South Shore Beach Club and Captain Kidd's Beach Club. There will be the annual beach volleyball playoffs held the same weekend so plan on hundreds of people at the beach...

I too bought these however they slip right out of my footholds all the time. My feet slipped out of the holds on every barrel roll I did with these. They are very comfy and light... I wish they gripped better.

I went to Captain Kidds for some drinks last night after work. Looks like they are closing September 26th. So we are good... They have no events scheduled for the weekend of the 12th/13th - They are having a party Monday night (14th) for the Bill's Monday night season opener against NE.

Looks like they have either not listed their closing party yet, or they are planning to hold it over labor day weekend. If that's teh case, they will still be open throughout the fall on the weekends, so we can still party there... just won't be as busy as a nice hot summer weekend would be.

Right on bro! Brian's still working out the details about where to stay etc... but it should be pretty cool. We're also working out a deal to launch right from the South Shore Beach Bar so we may be looking for some beach dolly's.

Also, for where I ride 95% of the time, any waves we get are wind driven, so to be out on a head high wave day means you are battling against 25mph + winds. A light ski will just get blown all over the place once you are airborne.

I think that weekend is the official closing party for Captain Kidds/Mickey Rats beach club, so it should be a pretty good time. Could be the 1st Annual WNY End of Summer Freeride to welcome in the official start to the wave season. Oh, and this is a freeride, no sponsors and no charity...
