    MY Square nose Superjet build

So I finally got most of the hood done, it did not go well, somehow I glued the other vent in backwards so I had to scrape all that nasty mess off and start over. I did have an idea though I cut an elbow in two then cut that part in two, I then opened up a hole to the hood corner and plumbed it...

Other Check your throttle plate screws! PSA

Some of the 550 Kawasaki's came through without the screws staked, I remember the bulletin, the tool we used to stake the screws was a pair of linesman pliers with two handle extensions made from pieces of pipe , this was necessary to get the proper leverage to stake the screws

    MY Square nose Superjet build

I removed the louvers on top of the hood and moved them to the back of the hood , the Left side is glassed back in and I started on the right side this morning, 1 1/2" PVC was cut in half and epoxied in place, I haven't decided if I am glassing over it or just painting it black and calling it...

    Super Jet Piston wall Clearance

The reason you see different specs on different pistons is because some pistons are cast and some are forged, the forged pistons expand more and require more clearance, also OEM piston to wall clearance are usually set pretty low to begin with , usually on a cast piston you want .004' to .0045...

    MY Square nose Superjet build

I am a few days behind on this, last Monday I started on new meds for Sciatica, they made me loopy and I had to spend a few days on the couch. At any rate I finished foaming the floor and sides and leveled it out with a multi tool and a DA sander so the floor panel would lay back in place, I...

    What would you do

They make a product called expanded PVC, I use it on ski repairs a lot mainly for rebuilding rub rails, I would buy a sheet of it 1/4" thick and then epoxy it to the old floor, epoxy sticks to it really well if you scuff the surface first, then you can add a layer of glass on top of that and...

    MY Square nose Superjet build

I don't even think they used vinyl ester on this one , more than likely polyester resin, at any rate it didn't hold, I use epoxy on all repairs the only thing I use Polyester for is splashing moldsand I sometimes use vinyl ester for making parts................

    MY Square nose Superjet build

I had to put fat girl on a serious diet , I did the defoam, refoam, she lost about 40lbs, whoever put footholds in this ski did a really crappy job and this thing weighed a ton. I pulled them out and sold them to someone cheap on the Superjet Facebook page. These guys saying they have 40 hours...

    New to me squarenose

Basically you lightly bolt the pump on, with the midshaft off you look to see how centered the driveshaft is coming through the hole, shim it till you get it centered properly then install the midshaft, the midshaft should slide right onto the driveshaft , if it doesn't then you do not have it...

    New to me squarenose

Yep everyone does not have 30 G's laying around to put in a freestyle ski and if they did they couldn't ride it to its potential , I know I fit in that catagory.
