    Electric box full of water

screws that come with those plastic washers on them are nice too, because then you don't strip the paint off the box when you tighten the screw all the way down, which leads to corrosion on the outside cover... doesn't have anything to do with water intrusion, but it is a nice bonus...

    Electric box full of water

the battery wires pull sideways as they exit the box and leave gaps between the grommet and the wire. I was also told it was to remove the box independently of the engine, but the water intrusion aspect of it is a extra bonus. IMO He has upgraded the material he uses on the stud kits more or...

yup, i'm using that kit right now. i sent my ebox to JSS 2 years ago. John did everything he possibly could. Put new connectors on my enhancer, re wired my S/S switch with bullet connectors. Quick disconnect stator. Quick disconnect battery/stater cables. Re wired stator. JSS coil. New...

    Electric box full of water

knew that one was coming... haha one major source of water intrusion is from the red battery cable grommets. the cables pull to each side a leave a gap between the cable and the grommet. get a new gasket, make sure the o-ring is good on the fuse cap.

Need some help with Intake Grate and Pump Shoe...

which gap are you refereeing? the tolerance between the impeller blades and the stainless wear ring? ya, that impeller is trashed. In addition it is a stock piece of junk impeller. 99.9% most likely you source of cavitation.

Need some help with Intake Grate and Pump Shoe...

is the internal part of the pump shoe damaged? the part where the water flows? if not, seems like you could put a new insert or re attach your existing insert somehow... I have never done it, but seems like replacing the pump shoe is PITA.

760 dual 44's or Black Jack dual 46?

Seems like Art at Jetworks recommend dual BJ 44's even for his ported engines. Dual 46's might a little much on the stock engnine. Call Art or Robert at Jetworks and talk to them. They will lead you in the right direction.

    my ol' bluski!

though i haven't repair the bottom of my boat like you, my ski came with all the paint sanded off the bottom. the previous owner used it a race/go fast boat rather than freestyle. he said he did that so it would hook up better. Just straight bare SMC on the bottom of mine. That being said...

    my ol' bluski!

Geoff (bluegtate) used some stuff from duplicolor. The can just says van/truck/car paint. First use some etching primer, then paint. About two coats of paint and 2-3 of clear coat from the can. Still holding up well and his paint goes near the exhuast outlet and still looks good over 1 year...

Stripped Pump Mounting Nut & Bolt

you can just try to run the original size tap into the threads to see if they will clean up. i thought I had toasted the pump insert on my SXR, but tried the proper size tap and the original insert came back to life.
