    how much would you pay?

$700???? That's 650SX territory! It's not too hard to get $1100 or so for a clean 650 squarenose in Michigan.

    148mm pump in an SJ

It will, I don't think anyone is arguing that. Heck, the WaveVenture 701 turned a 155mm pump! The question is how well it will work... I think having a 75mm center secion and only 6 vanes, it will turn like butter.

    148mm pump in an SJ

Is the Solas 148mm different than the Skat 148mm? I don't think you'll gain anything over a 144 Mag, except lower top speed.

    Is this pump useable?

The oil seal is still on there, just fine. That washer just sits between the impeller and oil seal, probably to help keep water out of the seal area. That pump looks like ******** but it should work okay if the bearings are smooth.

    Dual 44 Mikuni observations

I think I run around 30psi popoff. With 112.5 lows and 125 highs. Or something like that, it's been a while since I looked. Edit, these are non-OEM's.

Sj / Kawi weigh in Controversy

The SXI Pro? Because it has the FRP bottom deck (it's thicker, stronger).

    Awesome pic on Green Hulk

    Yes, that's Waterdawg's shop.

Sj / Kawi weigh in Controversy

The Pro hull should be 20 pounds heavier than the SXi hull. 145 pounds actually sounds about right for an unreinforced Pro hull. But you never know how they put a ski together at the factory...

    Shaved deck Sj

That ski would sink like a rock if it ever took on water! Better stick a 650 in it

    I need a refresher course.....

The 760's from Yamaha came with lower psi on the rear cylinder. But they were designed for a sitdown... sitdowns that dumbasses beat the piss out of. I think you'd be plenty safe with 175psi on a 760 and 94 octane.

Someone got 5 grand laying around?

I think it would be awesome in some waves, they say it goes 40mph: http://www.powerski.com/content/psi_index.php

    Wear ring crack

I don't think you'd want to risk it, it cracked for a reason (probably corrosion between the wear ring and housing.

Someone got 5 grand laying around?

Those were quite a bit different. This surf board was developed in the late 1990's.

Someone got 5 grand laying around?

I agree, way overpriced, but they look like a ton of fun. I read about those about 8 years ago. They have a lot of cool technology in them.
