Best High End Oil for Big Bore in salt water

How does Benol compare to 927 as far as deposits? I ran 5 gallons thru my last top end w/very minimal buildup....

Best High End Oil for Big Bore in salt water

I'm not second guessing, just seeking wisdom from many sources....grasshopper. I DO love the smell of Castor based oils - from my motocross days back in the late 70s I guess.....Nothing like standing next to the starting line at the 125 nationals & smelling all the yummy premix/race...

Best High End Oil for Big Bore in salt water

My new (to me) cylinder is at 86.0mm and I want it to last as long as possible. I'm currently running Klotz R50 on the recommendation of a respected tuner, and so far so good. Anyone have a better recommendation as far as protection/minimal wear? What about equivilent protection at a better...

    Working w/JB Weld

Prep is critical; clean (so as not to "grind" any oil into the metal's pores), rough surface, clean again, dry, apply JB. When filling the intake crossover the passage is larger on the 2 ends, smaller in the center. So even if it didn't stick to the walls it shouldn't be dislodged unless the...

    Working w/JB Weld

You could try it. Just be sure to clean the outside thoroughly, rough up w/sandpaper, reclean, then apply. Push a ~little~ bit though to help hold it on. Be aware that if you push too much through it may break off & be pushed back into the combustion chamber by the return wave of the pipe.

    Are RPM's important?

    Best Primer Kit?

You would think premix in direct contact would keep it from rusting. Must be a really cheap grade of steel, probably rusting before we ever get it out of the box.:bs2: I do know that in the heat of summer this happened - twice - & I removed the primer & the problem went away...

    Best Primer Kit?

I had one of the bulb type primers JSS sells and after a year it started flooding my engine during the summer :bs2: (supposedly the ball got rusty & didn't seal anymore), so I removed it. Now I need a primer for cold weather starting, but want to avoid the flooding this time.:banghead: So who...
