I used a belt sander with 60 grit to get the main portion off. Then to get down in the cracks a 4 inch grinding wheel It works well but you have to be careful. Then went over everything with a 60 grit 5" orbital sander. Took about 1 hour for the whole thing.
Alright so the other one has been painted and ready to drop the motor in.. We are waiting for a driveshaft to get here so we can install everything on it. Mine Just needs the hood glassed I cut it so i could show everyone what we did with dropping the pole and cutting it thinner.
Alright found out my starter was bad i just got done installing a new one and everything is in the hull and the motor starts.... Trickling charging the battery today and finnishing up the pole tomorrow. Then installing the pump and possibly a test ride by this weekend. I havent mod'd the hood...
having some engine issues right now ... have had alot of issues in the past 3 days with stuff not going as planned so im a little behind... i thought i would be done this weekend. Not!
Yea thats the plan tomorrow i am just tired tonight .... i work a normal job 50 hours a week this is all done at night....im going to sand the whole thing tomorrow
Alright so i already have the complete top deck removed. Saved the bulkhead. Defoamed. right now it weighs 61.6 with a pump shoe and bulkhead. Tomorrow i will sand and remove the ribs.
