    Super Jet Contacting Waterdawg Customz

No offense but I started cracking up when I read the title of this thread. I haven't hung around here in a long time and I just start getting free time to work on skis so I popped in.....and find there are still issues with Waterdawg. Problems have existed with this guy for over 8 years...

    SXR handling for racing

Tubbies/destroyers or MACC racing front sponsons are a must. Do not blend them into the hull, this takes away from the "sharp" definition where the hull and sponson meet - which is very important in the sponsons role in aiding handling. I personally think this is one of the downsides to the...

    SXR Sxr handlepole Cracking

All sxr and sxi poles are known to crack in that spot. Back in the day a company made " beef it" plates. These plates had the same shape as the side of the pole and riveted on. You also spread silicone on the back of the plate to help distribute the reinforcement. They were made of aluminum, you...

    SXR twin pipes

They are a great set of pipes when set up correctly. The problem is that setting them up correctly and fine tuning them is no easy task. They are awesome when they are on your friends ski and you can ride it, but that is about it. There is a reason they didn't sell a lot of them. Honestly if I...

SXR More newb upgrades on the SXR...

That extra tube is a pisser. The factory line that comes out of the top of the stock chamber goes overboard there. That tube is commonly used to feed the second cooling line for dual cooling. You just have to make sure to install an extra pisser and hook the existing hose from the top of the...

SX/SXi/SXi Pro Sxi pro Winter Project

You will be absolutely fine with the timing advance plate and running WOT. My sxi pros and now my SARS ran the plate with no issues on pump gas. My SXRS also run the factory pipe plug with the plate and still, there are no issues. Ski looks good, have fun! I want an sxi pro again.

    SXR 2008 SXR Upgrade ?'s

Dry pipe is way better, no questions asked. I have had three dry pipes and put plenty of hours on all of them, none of which have cracked. Rode plenty of mild and fully built skis with wet pipes and they just don't compare. Keep the stock pole for now, buy a pipe, whichever one you may choose...

    SXR motors beat next step?

Do NOT buy anything from SBT. Again, NEVER buy anything from SBT. "Salt Bore Time-bomb." I would buy OEM. I have bought many OEM cranks. I have had a crank rebuilt but it was cheaper for me to buy a new OEM crank, and just simply more feasible. I also run OEM or Pro-X pistons. I think you'll be...

    SX/SXi/SXi Pro winter progress

Pipe looks good. Line-X type paint? I would not use that. That's a great way to add weight and ruin the bottom of a hull. Gel-Coat it if you do anything, its easy to do and is tougher than paint. Overspray basically doesn't even exist when you spray gelcoat. It's nice.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro New Sxi Pro Owner

That looks great! Tubbies on an sxi pro are the best....they are also great on a modified sxr.

    Other Who does powdercoating???

My buddy had a complete GP1200 motor done for $250 locally....cylinders, cases, heads, front cover, motor plates, etc...all for $250. The rear end of my brothers '69 barracuda is getting done as we speak for $140....two tone.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro SXR Factory Dry pipe in a SXI hull

The box is a bit big, but the gas tank is taller compared to the sxi pro tank, and would sit further back towards the motor. Same principle as it does in the SX-R I guess. Close to the motor and barely goes under the hull where the pole mounts. If that makes any sense
