Rotation that is freaking sweet! So how hard is it going to be to get the Yami engines to mount up in the X2 hull? If a 1100 Kawie engine wasn't so heavy, I would suggest one of those based on that old pic of an X2 with one floating around. Then I got an 1100 ZXi with a blown engine and...
I hate to post aain in this thread so soon but yeah Watcon did have some of those West Coast super cylinders on eBay a while back. I think Pete Jacobs told me he was quoted like 3k for a whole set up. I want one but not for that much. I have a Kawasaki 1100 ZXi complete engine I can rebuild...
Pete,
I am thinking of hacking off the bottom deck of my 95 X2. It was crashed years back and i repaired it. I was never really happy with the repair job. I have a guy interested in buying it but now that I am finally out of college and working so making 50 bucks on a spare hull isn't a...
As far as I know all years are the same... except in 89 they had a straight cable model that did not use the linkage bolted to the turn plate and sub plate. Those will not work. I think they only did the straight cable for half a year or something like that. Othersiwe any X2 cable will work...
WOW! Everytime I look at one of these threads I get the itch to go cut up a ski and do fiberglass work. Problem is I am not as patient as you. And props for the vac bagging. I think that is the first time I have seen it done on a ski build.
DBR
I love seeing skis taken apart!
How do you like your Superior ski stand? I am needing one myself. Sure I could build one but for the time/money, but ordering one would be easier. Bummer is paying the shipping to the east coast.
I am not really sure what other models fit. I do know That Jet Wave a Japanese exporter sells a kit by Maekawa Engineering that eliminates the linkage/squirel cage system. But thay may only be for their custom X2 hulls which I can't afford.. :(...
On a Factory Pipe Products head pipe, it has a three bolt design just like a stock Kawasaki 650. They make a manifold that has this same bolt pattern for a Yamaha so that it all bolts up the same. The head pipe they make fits like 75% of the pipes they make as long as you use the right exhaust...
Well I did it again! This girl I kind of see back home was all whining she didn't have a ski to ride. Plus I had relocation money from my new job I started in June. So this ski looked like it was in good shape and somewhat close to me. I had to drive a little more than 4 hours there, then...
That road jump at 152/153 is famous. Greg Stuart from Skat Trak jumped it on a Honda 250R back in The original Huevos video. Some dirt bike guys also jumped it in a Terrfirma Fox vid. If you are doing dirt bike/quad drop offs... ten tha tis some big $hit!
And mountain bikes like that re...
Can we all agree that we would like to take a ride on Leniz's girl friend... I mean jet ski?
I am going to root for Lenzi now. I moved to Eric's home town and tried 3 times to get ahold of him. I guess he is too good to say hello to a fan and BS a little about skis. Really I just wanted...
I think air time products was selling a Yamaha single manifold for Mikuni carbs.
Any other Yamaha single manifolds I have ever seen are just Kawasaki 650 intake manifolds. Then they use an adapter plate to mate it.
I have two X2's and used to have a 650 SX. I have seen my share of...
I have a 95 hull/hood in WV. Needs some work but I would sell it cheap. Problem is I already crated one ski this summer and don't want to do another... :(
My old 1991 650 SX came from the factory with rear exhaust. Well I sucked at tail stands compared to my friends 88 650 SX ski.
So I was going to have a custom "T" piece made. It would allow me to use the factory (out side part of the hull) rubber 650 exhaust outlet cover. Then it would...
I got close to that answer. I found the time for the trains to meet to be a total of 1.56 hours (rounded). So that puts the trains meeting at 1:33'20" PM. I got the same distance traveled by train #1 as you did which is 103.33 miles or 545,600 feet.
So if I am right, you were only off by...
