Christmas is finally here (thread update on Kimo ratchet)

I have to say so far the Kimo tools have been great , I bought these back in January , absolutely no issues, they charge quickly and the batteries last a long time, I highly recommend them. I have been looking at Sata tools recently , they are owned by Apex , they also make Cresent, Allen...

    Beginner X2 build

Its getting harder and harder to find unmolested X2's these days , keep that in mind while building this ski.

    Working in this crazy heat!

I bought one of those cooling jackets, the ice packs are in the freezer right now , it comes with like 24 gel packs that you have to put water into, supposedly they turn into a gel when you add water to them , am going to give it a test run later today, I will look like a state highway dept...

Today was a good day - the counter to trivial complaints

I went by to drop off a payment on my surgical bill and the lady in the office said she did a self pay discount , I will find out how much of a discount after the first of the September. At this point I welcome any kind of discount because it's a hefty bill , maybe there is some light at the...

Has anyone tried 3d printing a hull?

So technically if I write with a sharpie on this hull then it's a 3D printed hull.

Other What did you fab up today? A thread for the home fabricators!

Do what I did , read up on it and just try it, you will make mistakes but hopefully never the same mistake twice. A couple of things I learned along the way are , you don't need special vac bag sealing tape, putty tape for mobile homes works just fine and its much cheaper. I do recommend...

Finishing up the part in the vacuum bag, hopefully it will be smooth enough I can clear it heavily buff it and be done , if not I will keep coating it with resin till it is. You don't need an expensive setup to bag small parts, a plastic bag, some putty tape , a mason jar , some tubing and a...

    Working in this crazy heat!

I had a lovebug on my window today, the first one I have seen this year, I was wondering at what speed it would let go of my window, turns out they are good up to 60 MPH.

Has anyone tried 3d printing a hull?

I have a friend that tried to get an extra season out of his Jetworks stroker motor , it blew up under the Kowaliga bridge on Lake Martinn after one of our freerides. it came apart so hard it put a dent in the bottom of the hull , those recommendations for crankshaft rebuild and replacement...

    Working in this crazy heat!

100 here today and it's supposed to get hotter, the lake felt like bath water yesterday when I test rode a ski, luckily today I spent most of the day in the truck, I may have to get one of those jackets, I have a Mission cooling hat, it doesn't do much in this kind of heat...

Has anyone tried 3d printing a hull?

This is true , I usually don't see those skis again till years down the road or if something else unrelated goes out.

Has anyone tried 3d printing a hull?

I can 100 % verify that if you are a wrencher like me you will only get riding time 5 to ten minutes at a time and it's always on someone elses ski.
