I swapped the whole switch and harness or whatever you want to call it. I would try whatever you have to swap laying around. I know some people are rebuilding the switches now. I saw a few post about it ..

i had this exact issue two years ago. i cleaned the killswitch and it was perfect...for a hour or so. then i was back to square one. i put in a new start/stop switch and it has been perfect ever since. im not saying its not the cdi. just my experience. good luck, could be either one.

I might be missing something but whats the power difference between this motor and the 701 ported top end kit? i have a 62t/62t im running now and need the 61x upgrade. I was planning on putting the jm top end kit on my 62t bottom. thanks.

They are 61x cylinders and a 62t yamaha bottom and a 61 yamaha bottom. The 62t bottom is apart and one rod looks like it got hot because there is discoloration. Should it not be ran? I could get pics but will probably be a few weeks. And once again thanks!!

if its the 62t cylinders they do seem a little doggy down low and then suddenly rip of your arms. i didnt see if you specified what cylinders you have? but thats some damned good compression for a stock head, maybe a wetjet hi comp. head?

well he had a 62t in it originally. i know the exhaust port holes are located a little higher on the 62t so he may not be getting very good exhaust flow. his ski also it having problems with taking off. almost seems like the carb doesnt get fuel right but we have tried a known good carb.

ive got a 650 carb from my 650 superjet motor that i blew, that im looking to put on my 84 kawi motor. is the intake mani off the yamaha 650 wat i need also or is there a specific kawi intake mani to buy?

he has a 61x 61x and i have a 62t 62t. his ski is a yamaha so he wants the 62t cylinders to bolt his exhaust to and i want the low end power range of the 61x cylinders. my question is... is it common for the rings to not seat if we were to do this. or should we just buy some new rings for them?

definately ride it like you stole it, and dont freak out to bad when it crashes into the rocks, it didnt hurt mine that bad. hulls are cheap anyways, just take good care of the motor, they tend to get expensive

yeah ad that rubber piece that you had to glue. sounds like thats the problem though

i also have that hold on the bottom. my guess is that its a drain. if its completely sealed of i would think there would be some kind of sweat or oxidation or mildew from being in water and heat and temperature changes so i left mine there.
