With single cooling in I teed my 2 outlets coming off of the head together. I believe people run it like the diagram above but with single cooling with the line from head to overboard severely restricted

Can't go wrong with cold fusion. I've run that in salt for a couple years now and just put it on an rrp cast setup and still works like it's supposed to.

The pink wire and ground that are disconnected are for the sensor that connects to the stock head. If you have an aftermarket head, there isn't a spot for it so it gets disconnected.

Quick steer the nozzle, move out the steering cable and a d cut stock ride plate. You won't have any downtime and will be able to ride as much as you can. Then practice practice practice. Master that hull, then worry about adding rocker, hull shortening and other things that's done to stock hulls
