^^^ Well this Brave AI answer is in line with what @kevbo says and is not encouraging:

What Impeller for Stock Pump with 61x Engine and B-Pipe?

I am installing a Factory Limited B-Pipe on my 1995 FX-1 with the single carb oem SBN 44 carb and stock 61x engine with the oem head. And currently a MSD enhancer, but may move to a Zeel charging CDI in the future. The pump and the aluminum impeller are likely stock. Do you recommend that I...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

@waxhead I don't see on your website a Zeel, much less a Zeel with your V3 timing curve built in. Would you kindly provide a link for where to buy it? Question: If I buy the Zeel with your V3 timing curve built in, can I later fine tune or change the timing curve for a different engine, set...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

@waxhead And because a Zeel would be too much for me to learn at this time, can I run the set up specified in post #39 with just a MSD Enhancer for now?

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

@waxhead HST will put whatever jets in at whatever popoff settings I request. So, if I buy your Thruster Exhaust for a 62t, and your intake manifold for the 62t and your manifold plate adapters for 46mm dual carbs, What jets and what popoff settings (etc?) should I request from HST?

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

So, checking for understanding. Just to be clear, for 46mm carbs, you prefer aftermarket Mikuni 46 SBN carbs, correct?

Do you prefer oem Mikuni SBN 46 carbs or aftermarket Mikuni SBN 46 carbs? How do you measure squish.? It is not in your Tech article. Can you avoid shaving the cylinder by buying your aftermarket head with 35cc domes and then installing your toroidal-shaped domes when you release them?

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

@WFO Speedracer This fits within your title of "I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders" While @waxhead is thinking about how to organize his thoughts on how to write his treatise on modding the 62t couch engine for freestyle power, here is a little tech article I...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

Take your time. I found the Bpipe for the FX-1, I found your head pipe, but for the life of me I am still looking for your 61x exhaust manifold. I bought it, it shows on my orders, I remember receiving it and shelving it, so I have it, I just need to find it !!! So, go ski and when you have...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

@waxhead I have a two carb 62t out of a 96 WaveVenture 700. Would you mind either posting a thread or linking to info on how to to port it and to modify the squish. BTW, since I have the waterbox out of the FX-1 now (it is not the source of my jumping up rpm problem) because the water box is...

I need some knowledgeable opinions on 61x versus 62T -64X cylinders

Kevbo, so is the best low rpm torque set up putting a 61X cylinder on top of a 62T crankcase? And do they just bolt on without any modification necessary? (Assuming that the pistons are the correct size . . .)

The Opposite of Bogging FX-1/Super Jet

Update: I idled the ski on the trailer and sprayed carb cleaner on every joint in the manifold and carb and also on the crankshaft where it exits the crank case and the engine did not increase in rpm. I took the coupler cover off to make sure that I was hitting the crank with the carb cleaner...

Getting back into skis. Need help.

^^^ At some point when I am not up to my eyeballs in engine problems and pump rebuilding, I would like to have your input on doing this to my 550sx (I have a spare Yamaha 650 I could put in it). But I am pretty sure that that is a 2008 - 2020 Yamaha round nose Super Jet you are riding there...

The Opposite of Bogging FX-1/Super Jet

Well @JC-SuperJet , I put the stronger battery in, charge it up fully, made sure that the terminals were tight. And rode today and absolutely nothing has changed. It still wants to jerk my arms off. Slow to . . . 3/4 WOT and then when I slow down again it is slow to 3/4 WOT. Absolutely no...

The Opposite of Bogging FX-1/Super Jet

Yes, I wondered if the problem was even the MSD Enhancher itself, but I wanted to run down all potential fuel issues before moving on to electrical. But finding the positive cable terminal loose, maybe 3/16's loose on the battery post, makes me want to test first without touching more. Wow...

The Opposite of Bogging FX-1/Super Jet

Ok, a little bit of wishful thinking here, which I won't be able to test until Monday. When I was removing the battery in preparation to remove the fuel tank to remove and check the integrity of the water box, I was surprised to find that the positive cable on the battery terminal was a little...

How to Remove 1994 SN SJ Drive Shaft?

OK, I am mystified. Happy, but mystified. This worked. Pipe wrench on the already destroyed splines (see first photo in this thread) and 1 1/16" wrench on the oem aluminum impeller and standing with one foot on the driveshaft and the other foot on the 1 1/16" wrench and using a ladder to hold...

The Opposite of Bogging FX-1/Super Jet

@Myself Yes it is the original water box. Should I remove the fuel tank and then shake the water box? @WFO Speedracer I put a different known good carb on and the symptoms were the same. I can put the brand new SBN 44 on in two minutes and rule out my adjustments or any wear or obstructions...
