Thanks for the feedback Yeah I think I will try a buddies (kraqus) SN before I cut mine. The only tough part is my poll (for some reason) seems to be a lot lighter than other SNs I've ridden. I'm not sure what the prior owner may have done to it to make it this way. I once idled with my...
I've done searches on shortening handle polls, but all I have found are threads on how to shorten handle polls instead of why to shorten handle polls. I realize it is benefical, but I'm wondering why.
Can someone please enlighten me?
THANKS much!
I had the EXACT same problem on my '90 SN back in March. I just needed to replace the silinoid (not sure if that's spelled correctly). Got that replaced and the problem completely went away. Rode all summer without any reoccurances. The part cost me like $30 or something.
good luck.
EXACTLY!!! IMO, the most underated part of jumping wake is know where and how to hit the wake. Reading the wake and knowing when and where to go after it. And the ONLY thing that will cause you to learn is LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of practice. Trust me, if you're committed learning and working...

Seems to me you're just looking for affirmation of what you've already decided to do (like I've said, I've been there), instead of information as to what may be best.
first of all, to answer your question here's what nada says about the weight and length. (282 lbs) I think that's dry weight, but I'm not sure.

and that's ride all year without those horrific temperatures.
4/3 wetsuit during the winter and 3/2 wetsuit in fall and spring.
i guess that's worth paying more for gas.
HOLLY poop!!! Mid May and the water is 32 degrees??? Time to put your place up for sale and find a moving van. I guess the higher cost of living in (going bankrupt) California is worth it.
