Water in fuel. Drain everything, dry out the carbs, reassemble. youre either ingesting water at the hood or your filler inlet may be cracked. check the fuel system.

Which SXR?

FX1 is basically a 550 with a bit more power. Fun but leaves a lot to be desired even with mods. Leave it alone. Rideplate, intake grate and bars at most. otherwise don't touch it. the square nose, same thing. Bars, rideplate, scoop grate and some good turf. Learn the ski, learn to maintain it...

Leave them both stock. Get a job, save your money, ride those things in the meantime, and when you're ready to drop around $10k for a ski, then go buy something. An exhaust worth putting on those skis, plus rejetting the carb, around a grand. You can have plenty of fun on either one and they...
