it looks like you wont be able to get the liner out without destroying both parts any further. can you get a new liner or make your own? cut the liner out as carfully as possible and reinforce or...get a ski more suited for freestyle
throw your favorite quarter up in the air and pick a side, but im sure knowing what might have caused the failure would be somewhat of a determining factor, it overheated and fried or sank? something fell into the crank like a washer and was over looked or didnt put oil in the gas?
blasters are fun! i have an sj and a 780bb blaster that has become my loner ski for my brothers and girls. The x2 is way cheaper to mod if your good with tools but by far the blaster is easier and more fun to ride and has totally converted my coach friends to standups. I had an x2 with 44sbn...
remember the strength is in the cloth more so than the resin, you want to use as little resin as you need to wet the cloth out. the chopped mat is a mess too you will have a much cleaner result with the biax as well as save money in resin. looks great tho so far. are you rockering the tail too?
You need a umi bearing system, to run that. I have a similar setup and I find it twitchy because the steering is too light. A bushing system like what fearmywrx suggested would allow you to fine tune the play you have in the steering by simply tightening the bolt and then locking it in place...
