after the seals out there is a snap ring on each side of the bearing

there are shims that sit betewwn the motor and mount to raise/lower the motor you basically making the crank/prop shaft the same real pia to get perfect

be sure you get the motor aligned or it will eat the drive shafts 08 and up have a 5 th rubber block to aid in motor support sits under the motor maybe rebuild the carb since its been sitting new diaphams never hurt

maybe it was a bad connection

yes and no the couplers are different but inner changable

i see used ones all the time so someone is buying those fat beasts

why dont you plug them up to see if they work before tossing them
