SXRs have Fuel Filters on the pickups in the gas tank. The BRE (Breather) should be going up the handlepole. Yes there should be a one way check valve on the breather.

That is a Round Body(RN) Mikuni (1980s). They went to the Square Body (SBN) for all the 750s I know of. You should take some pics of your setup, then people with more knowledge of 750s can answer your questions... :) I'm an SXR 800 an 550 guy.

Those are spacer inserts for the Air Filter/Arrestor bolts. Check yours, bet it's missing at least two ;)

The exhaust side of the SXR never really drains. I have a Versi plug on my SXR, and I know water gets trapped on the exhaust side. I have researched putting a smaller versi plug under the exhaust flange(cutting into the flange), so water doesn't sit on that side. SXRs can hold quite a bit of...

Hard to tell from the photo, I can't see a hole in the exhaust. You can remove the exhaust flange/exit and get a better look.
