I tried an SBT dampener on my SXR 800. It lasted about two weeks before losing chunks. I then went back to the original OEM, until I got another new OEM. The SBT was visually thinner (1/16"?) and not good rubber like the OEM.
He said he was using OEM.
I'm looking for either a Jet Dynamics 52(shallow) intake grate or w/e you guys have laying around.
Want to experiment with a few. It's okay if they're dinged up a bit.
Thanks!
I wanted to give Glen a shout out for taking care of my order today.
I checked out and didn't see the 2020 Promo code, so I emailed him about getting the discount after the sale.
He called me shortly there after and took care of it all!
Thank you Impros!
What time was that? Days are getting longer up here... Winter Sun always feels like you cannot stare at it, so low in the sky. I need those gma shades.
Salt water ski?
The exhaust tube might have a hole in it from salt water not getting flushed out all the way. The SXR has a wet tray area. That means it uses closed cell foam(styrofoam) and water is sloshing around in your gunwales. Saw a guy from Florida posting about this few months ago...
I did the same thing on my SXR. Except to minimize the SXR Exhaust flange cutting, I used a smaller versi plug. I have the versi-plug R on the original drain and the screw in style under the exhaust. You have the opposite.
36 is niiice. It's 25 no wind here today. Feels great after being zero Sunday.
I was jet skiing last weekend. 43, no wind, and partly cloudy. All you need is 5mm wetsuit to extend your season.
I'm happy the lake finally froze hard, so I can walk out to the island and hunt some Coyotes. Ever...
We just got an Arcade Bar and Grill(Crooked Pint Ale House) and a local Arcade this year.
I play a lot of vintage/retro Nintendo consoles at home. My problem with arcades is how exspensive they are. Also the games are not as good as I remember....Donkey Kong or Mario Bros in the arcade are so...
I can post up some photos later this week. I'll be winterizing my ski, just got snow tonight.
It definitely saves weight. Part of the savings is ditching the fire extinguisher and holder. I used a cutoff wheel, just go slow. There's glue behind the liner that can be removed also.
Have you...
Maybe I'm not from your part of the world, but I loved having Gun stores near other common areas. It keeps people grounded. "OH MY GOD A GUN". I carry an air rifle with me walking the dog, to get the occasional squirrel or rabbit we come across in the woods. It's priceless the looks on...
