I was a lot more impressed wth the tpe964 than any other SS motor I have ridden.
That being said, the Mightymouse motor from PHP looks like a good bang for the buck.
He said his foot got stuck in the foothold and he hit a wave funny causing his body to go over the side of the ski.....With his foot in the foothold the gunwale acted as a fulcrum. Snap.
It was nasty to say the least and he was in a TON of pain. I'm just thankful the waves weren't bigger and...
I had the unpleasant experience of pulling a friend to shore this weekend. We were riding in small 3-4's. I looked over....one minute he was riding the next minute he was laying in the water. I went over and he had a MAJOR Tib/Fib break. It wasn't pretty. Fortunately I could touch bottom...
I did this on a old kawi pump rebuild years ago. If my bearings fail again I will try this but so far so good. I only got 15 minutes on the first set but the second set probably have 15 or 20 so I'm thinking I"m okay.
I agree to some degree. However, I have probably ridden 10 different Badass hulls now and every single one felt like home to me and felt a lot like mine. Some were shorter and set up totally different, some were glass, some had 1000 CC and yet they all were very similar at the same time...
Ride before you buy. I did and thats why I bought a Superfreak. I rode pretty much everything(at the time) and it was by FAR my favorite.
With as much money as you are spending it's worth making sure you are buying the right one.
Mike,
I have a Superfreak Badass and my buddy is currently building a backie chan. Come over in a couple of weeks and ride them both.
Its a haul for you. Maybe you could take the ferry across from Milwakee to Muskegon.
Bummed I can't make it this year guys. Please be respectful to the others at the campground so that we can keep this tribute to Kevin going for years to come. Hoping you guys get some waves.....have fun!!!
Your english is great Marcus.
I do see B pipes on here from time to time. I'm not a blaster expert, but I'm guessing the B pipe is your best option. A good prop is key too.
Lou, good reminder that we need to go cautiously down stony creek. There are families tubing and swimming in that creek. We need to respect them. Also it gets real shallow and there are some nice rocks so be careful there too.
