I just used a new pair of regular old scissors last time I did it. One trick that seemed to work well for me to keep the edges from fraying was laying masking tape around the edge and then cutting through the tape. I left just under 1/4" of tape around the perimiter and just layed that side...

I don't know.....if enough users get it and it becomes really popular it could eventually work for skis. Initially there is not way it would work.

Stock props and intake grates are junk. Replace them ASAP. That is the first mod I would do to any ski.....maybe aftermarket steering setup too. BK is right though. It could also be the rubber seal but I would get rid of the stock junk prop.

I agree with Philip.....Find somebody that will let you ride their ski and go ride them. I flew to FL just to ride my Superfreak before ordering one. I had ridden several A/M hulls that I had absolutely hated. When I rode the freak I knew it was the right fit for me. For the amount of time...

There are many engine builders that have good experience working with decking and porting that motor. CPT, xscream, and Powerhouse performance to name a few. Might just be worth making a few calls. As far as carbs go those OEM 44's don't have the best reputation but they may work fine for now...

Last time I had a similar situation it was the coil. Sounded good on the trailer but in the water it wouldn't start. If I was lucky enough to get it started it ran like crap obviously.

I agree with John on this one. As much as I like other people to enjoy the sport I love, I see more and more people riding at my surf spot each year. It's a matter of time before they start cracking down on us.

What a ton of different opinions. I have always been partial to straight pull UMI. It's what I am used to have have been running for at least 15 years. Sometimes you just get used to something. For me, adjustment of the lever is a HUGE part of it. I can't believe how many people ride skis...

Get a doner hull. Cut the bottom off it and just over lay it over the bottom of your hull. It's an idea at least..... I agree with John though......you are probably begging to suck up a rock.
