My buddy, Una Panuna Banks, has created a new shaft design and I have been given one to test in my superjet.
This originally came about because there are a ton of blaster 1 guys in my area and they are tired of stripping splines. So far it has been successful in blasters and I do not expect...
I saw a guy in Daytona with an fx1 where the carbs where mounted with the pump towards cylinder. He had an access plate to where he could change jets without pulling carbs. Pretty neat, thought about doing it on a test ski.
Round of applause for @WB1994 .
You took a daunting problem and made it something I don't mind doing because it's going to be better than the hose fitting tight in the bracket in the first place.
Man, they have the right idea there. Even when they are snug, it's still not water tight. Unfortunately the customer isn't gonna go for buying a new bracket when he just bought this one. I'm sure neither are cheap.
Ya I have some 1/8 in aluminum that I'm gonna make a plate out of. Just sucks to work behind someone that makes your job harder. Really under quoted this job...
O boy, I was afraid of that. Why in hell do they make it like that.
I got the boat from the fiberglass guy that painted it... He pulled the old bracket off and installed the new one and cut holes to match.
Sleeving it is last resort.
Looks like I'm pulling the bracket off and going to install...
Man there has to be someone local. Check with fabrication shops, jeep shops, marinas, tuner shops.... Etc... You will find a lead if you search, just call around. You will know when you find the right guy. He will look at it and say, ya man, no problem..
So I'm putting a kp pole on a sv 1.
Bracket on ski has inside diameter of 2.5 in.
Pole tubes are a cunt hair over 2 in inside diameter.
Provided hose is 2 in.
So the hose fits up in the pole tubes nicely but is a hotdog down a hallway in the bracket. What gives?
Do pole companys have...
I don't know why I didn't call him. Js's was just the first to pop in my head for custom cables... Well actually OCD, but I know he is busy and slowing down.
It worked out to 5 feet for ground, 40 inches for starter and 20 inches for batt POS.
That's running them around the back of the engine to the starter.
I ended up getting jss to make them. I could of done it myself but I'm so swamped right now it was easier to get them made. Rebuilding this...
Thanks, not looking for cheap. Either way I got is gonna be new cables. Just wondering if someone has been down this road. Don't have the ski in front of me.
Looking for the kawi cable that is the length for front mount oem 38s on a superjet.
I know the kawi cable long enough for rear mount carbs on a superjet is the 750sx cable... But it's too long for a ski with front mount throttle cable.
