Wow. That is a pretty neat bike. I wonder how a 2-stroke handles on the road... I am planning on picking up a nice dual sport for commuting and dirt roads, but having grown up on two-stroke bikes, I would wonder how that would be in a city/road atmosphere.
Cool idea though!
I remember watching my brown lab get chased around the house by a deer several times. It was insanely funny, but also pretty crazy. Those hoofs could have hurt.
To me that looks like a full Wetjet Kraze setup. Nice find. That intake and carb set can be sold for nice $$$ but make great power so don't sell. Good Find. I know the Factory pipe setup can be run from head to bottom of head pipe (as your pictures show). Most of the Coffman's are run from the...
Guess I should post mine. I cant take credit for the build, only put the pieces back together. Fiberglass reinforcement, 144mm pump, mod b-pipe, r&d head, JSS ebox, goose pole/steering.... Yes I know I need to put my chin pad back on.
I got one out of the bigger engined sea-doos. The link above is for a 587, which is way less than your 701. I think the SPX and XP have larger inlet's and outlets. Maybe someone who is better with Sea-doos can chime in.
I used a Seadoo Waterbox. See CavemanX2 over on PWCToday. It works great but the downside is you don't get to use your front fuel fill with it. It does hold a lot of water but keeps sound respectable. and its cheap and plentiful.
To be honest I like mine. I know there are a lot of varying opinions out there about stubby pump cones, but behind my 19 degree straight pitch I have enjoyed it. Does have a small "pop the clutch" like feeling but I attribute that more to how I ride and how my cheater pipe is tuned and less to...
Haha let me rephrase--- I have always been told to make it in this world you must work harder. Basically "The 40 hour work week is dead." My bad about the double negative. My brain hurts from staring at taxes all morning.
I have been keeping up with this thread for awhile, and to me it parallels the "trivial complaints" and "today was a good day" threads. Some one over there said they once heard that if you couldn't support your lifestyle working 40 hours a week you were in the wrong career... To me as a 28 year...
I am pretty sure there is no pisser on a stock 61x. Water from pump to bottom back of exhaust mani, then up to head. There should be a separate flush fitting above the "mani to head" line. Maybe someone else can chime in. I have only worked with 1 stock exhaust and I got rid of it pretty quick.
I didn't do a pump mod other than 19 degree straight pitch prop, clean up the casting marks, and stubby pump cone. Its the wife's ski so not to much of an issue there.
Jon is the stock head still on the 61x? It should have two outlets up top. One 3/8 inch and one 1/8 inch.
With the Rhass kit it is pretty simple... Not gonna lie. Im about a 5 on a scale of 246234763467 with regards to mechanical ability... My 550sx/701 conversion has been running (knock on wood) for a long spring, summer, fall with no issues really.
It pretty much is a straight bolt in with the...
My Cold Fusion Ebox Bracket holes were threaded...?
