Let's hear from 2008 SJ owners

Well I owned a 2009 for a day. Put it on Craigslist when I got back from my first ride and sold it the next day for $450 more than I paid for it. So I'm glad I tried it out and know it wasn't the right ski for me. I was told that I might not like the new hull, if I was going to do flat water...

    Super Jet Carb Adjustment Screws

Hi, before I screw up my 2006 SJ carbs looking for the high low adjustment screws, I'm assuming that they are capped off and are in the usual place for the high low screws? Any nice and easy way to remove the caps without removing the carbs? Thanks.

300/440/550 JS550sx Beginner Ski for big guy???

The 650sx is a larger (heavier) more stable ski with more HP than a 550. IMHO a much better choice for a first timer (especially for a bigger person) and something that you won't necessarily out grow, even though the new stuff is better. I had mine out last weekend and had a great time on it...

Super Jet Drive Shaft Zirk Grease Fitting

Hi, I just picked up a 2006 SJ and noticed it has a zirk grease fitting for the drive shaft bearing. Mine has has never been used. Sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure what grease to use or how much and how often. The CD manual wasn't really any help. What are you guys doing? Thanks.

    Super Jet 9/15 or 12/17

Thanks guys, you saved me some R&D money. I'll either wait until I port it or just go with a small hub that the stock motor can turn.

    Super Jet 9/15 or 12/17

Same question here. Except top speed isn't a priority. I've got a 2006 stock SJ and don't plan on adding a pipe, but will probably port the motor when it's time for a top end. I was thinking of a Skat trak C+75 (144) in a 9-17 or 12-17. I worry a little that a stock motor might have trouble...
