I'm 50 and I bought a ENVY hull and hope to be able to do a flatwater back flip this year, and my wife is 44 and she rides a lighten trick out SXR and there is over 20 of us all on standups that ride together. But you do get tired of hearing (do they still make standups!!)
That is great that you got her ski down to the weight of Keegans superjet, when we get more time and we can make some carbon parts and change the handlepoles it would diffently make the 320 range. Not bad for a stock hull SXR!!
Usually a electrical problem will get worse as it ride it and will finally quit on you, but I would look more at the coil than at the stator you could just have a spark plug cap thats not making a good connection. Un screw the caps and cut a 1/4 inch off and put them back on, if that does not...
I just went to your build thread and saw your foam and it is diffently not the same stuff, my foam is just like what is under your fuel tank and what in the hood. No wonder you was question about the foam that is the nastest stuff I have seen! They must have change it to the other when they...
You will need 2 sheets, my buddy just did his with the camo grooved and he said he had to be real careful stretching it because it would tear easy. i have always done diamond and it was easy to stretch and form.
It must be the difference in the pro hull since it is a hand laid glass bottom, I have had my sxr and my pro apart and they had the same foam and I have seen a SJ RN and the foam is a different texture. How did you get your hull down to 100lbs with the pump and driveshaft in it?
The yamaha is diffently different foam, I like how everbody wants a superjet because they are so light, but everybody has to defoam and reinforce the hull so they don't get water log or break. lol Did you take all of your foam out on your ski and hood and handlepole and do you know how much...
I'm with you on taking the foam out for weight, on the 750 you can take the foam out and the fire estinguisher tube and save a lot of weight. I just leave foam in on the bottom hull section and seal the firewall up really good and it works great.
My 98 pro had CLOSED CELL foam. I have done footholds and removed foam on a 2000 pro and it was closed cell too. SX hulls might have something different.
I said it does not hold water LIKE a Superjet, it is closed cell foam but it can still hold a some water nothing like the yamahas. 25lbs. of water in your foam? That means your sides of your hull with foam in it can hold 3 1/2 gal. of water Hmmmm!
The foam does not hold water like the superjet but the hull can, drill the back of your hull and put fittings in it so you can drain if it gets water in it.
whats the best way to keep it from dolphining, lean forward lean back? all out acceleration? or are the 750's just this way?
Cheap way to help it is to weld a 3" extension to your ride plate, the best way is to buy hull extensions and extend ride plate and put tubbies on the front and a good...
Sounds like the carbs or carb need to be completly taking apart and blowed out and cleaned, there is a screen filter in each carb that I bet is jelled up or full of crap and is barely letting a little bit of fuel siphon through when it sits and than immediately runs dry as soon as you fire it up.
Good buy either way, take the jumper cables and ground to the motor and touch the pos. cable to the solinoid post going to your starter on the elec. box. If the battery is shorted out you usually can't jump off the battery any way.
They vary but my buddy just gutted one to rebuild for his wife and the bare hull was 137lbs and the hood was 22lbs and if a remember right the handle pole is about 15lbs. Here is the link to his build.

Be sure not to get too much timing with higher compression you will need higher octane fuel, here is the link for the jetworks valve.

You can mill your head, but if you cut much off there is a better chance of your head warping. If you send your head to Harry make sure you tell him what sea level your are because it will make a big differents in your comp. The enhancer will give you a little bit of advance in timing and will...
