ooooooo........a leg-gina!
I had one of those.....10 stitches and no getting it wet for 3-4 weeks......Sux!! I always wear some sort of shin protection since that day.
Not really....biggest risk of injury is anything that may be lurking just under the surface you can't see like old pilings, sunken boat remanents, or any floating junk left by previous tides/storms. It's fairly safe and we have a "no passing" rule when we ride in a group. Since we're not out for...
Is there a goofy foot/regular stance piece of this equation? I ride goofy foot and have been rolling to the right, but have tried a couple to the left.....not sure which is more natural. Although, I guess if your using foot holds, there is no goofy/regular stance?? I don't use footholds.
I ran a 440 superstock for "freeride" (before there was such a thing!). I had 550 mods before that and they can be comparable. The nice thing about the 440 was it lived forever and 550s seemed to be short lived. I beat the snot out of the 440 and it just took it. The 440 does end up with a lot...
Actually, the challenge when in the creeks is to avoid the temptation to jump over stuff instead of forcing your self to navigate around it! Hopping is a lot easier in most cases. I usually bunny hop stuff once out of the creeks (like at the end of the vid). :fing02:
Joe B pulling the ejection handle @5:07:scared:
Damn.....That vortex sucked you right to the bottom and pitched you right off like an ejection seat! I hope you're feeling better and it's nothing too serious???
Carlito...thanks for the playing camera man!! I wished I'd had more energy left...
$175 for 4x4 beach permit for your truck and $125 for Jetski launch permit. They only check launch permits from Memorial Day until Labor Day and only 9-4 Fri/Sat/Sun. They check 4x4 permits pretty much all the time....FYI
These permits are good for a year and they don't sell daily, weekly...
I've seen it happen..... Unmanned, it porposed very badly and kept top speed down. It finally ran aground and ran out of the water WFO until it seized.
That's impossible.....I've heard FX-1s are squirely and unstable! :sneaky:
As far as mods, it's a basic 61x motor, sport port job, wetjet intake w/46 and a b-pipe. The hull is modded with custom tubbies and a Kawi 650 pump conversion.
I didn't think anyone would know of Sisters of Mercy.....Nice catch Aaron!
DJ, The areas in LBI are probably real similar. The area the video was shot in is about 1.5 miles south of LBI. And yes, if you stop or get stuck it's hell!.....mud up to your kness/waist and green head flies biting...
Here's a little aerial view of one of the areas:
