Update.......Got my new ported cylinder and milled head back from Group K, seals and gaskets are here and I'll be re-assembling the beast very soon......can't wait to get it back on the water!

You're going to need need a rev limiter mod of some sort or it will hit the limit constantly with the pipe.

It really shouldn't porpose with any decent plate. No offense, but it's mostly rider induced. unless your plate is damaged, it should be able to be controlled by rider position/style.

It was absolutely a clean break with no signs of heat or damage anywhere...,pretty weird! The lower rod bearings are still shiny and clean, wrist pin bearing was clean and free and the rod wasn't even discolored from heat....it's still a nice copper color. Cylinder was perfect with no score...

Got the info on 1100 vs 900 from conversation with Harry Klemm. My other concern with going with the 1100 is the size of the exhaust manifold outlet, it's much larger than the 900 and I think it's beyond what I can bore the B-pipe head pipe opening to. The 900 manifold outlet is 52mm and that's...

I use the stock 61x brackets and simply bore the center hole to 46mm. You will also have to elongate the holes on the throttle cable plate to allow it to fit over the wider Wetjet carb base studs.....all pretty easy though.

If you have a good stock ride plate, don't cut it....sell it to me!!

I love my tubbies (but that's on an Fx-1). I do still pearl, but it let's me get a lot more vert down the face before it occurs. On an FX it doesn't seem to add any bad behavior at any speed. I can pin mine wide open on glass smooth water indefinitely and it never chine walks or gets squirely...
