They're just regular washers, they don't do anything for alignment. I've heard diff stories of why the notch is there, but none of them involved alignment. A good stainless fender washer should be fine.

Trying to preserve the Frankenstein paint job. It's gonna be a challenge because I have some hull mods in mind too. The paint job is too classic now to ruin and it's actually held up amazingly well for 4 years of abuse.

It only seems fitting to drop an ss865 in this this thing....should spin that bigger pump! That's the icing on the cake......so to speak :)

I take it you have the spacer between the rear of the after-burner pump cone body and the back of the pump? (.175" spacer)

There's a stock Yami switch harness (e-box side) from a sitdown (don't know what model) that is about 2' long........FYI

Erok was nailin' them in Daytona last year on 3' faces. Nice tight rotation, right down the line. One of my goals some day....but no straps or holds......

Yup, it just slides right into the bearing. The shaft more or less floats in the bearing.

I hate to break this to you, but you don't want foam in those locations. The pump mounting area should be solid glasss. The foam there will allow water to leak in through the bolt holes and the foam will get waterlogged. It will also crush whe you tighten the pump mounting bolts. You need to...

The Kawi shaft has a small hole through it near the coupler end. You can use a hardened steel pin or phillips screw driver blade through the hole and then put it in the vise. The pin will keep the shaft from rotating in the vise jaws. Heat the coupler up very well and it will come right off...
