Ya Shawn we did that on Bruces fixed steer build. Nice clean easy in and out of the box from the hull. Only thing better is using the kawi sxr box with yami guts. Bruce didn't want to but I am.
I agree, I would rather make up a brand new harness with Jap style connectors that extends out from the ebox whatever length is required. It would come with all the connections needed to fit to your start/stop switch, just cut off the oem connectors and crimp on the new ones.
It would be plug and play for those who already have JSS start/stops.
Get me that measurement and I will make it up and ship it out to you, free of charge. I have always offered the first of a new product free to the person who helps get it built.
Dude, THANKS!!! Unfortunately I had problems @ work, so I only got to get the gas tank installed and fuel lines/water lines finished & dressed today. Tomorrow night I will measure out the wires.
There's a stock Yami switch harness (e-box side) from a sitdown (don't know what model) that is about 2' long........FYI
have you considered making one out of speaker wire?
Congrats man.
ready to roll.........cool! You hitting Wavedaze?
Finally!![]()
Ski looks killer man! Hope to see you around! Where do you ride?
sweet ski.... did you modify your cooling from XScream recommendations? yours looks slightly different than mine.
Congrats Shawn....Looks Great! That's a bummer you will be missing wavedaze, but let me know when you head down to ride with the Mafia. Hope the test ride goes smooth!
hehe, told ya....fun stuff. What a day....Rode with the Mafia. Fired the motor up for the 2nd time ever, then immediately rode it into the surf!! First off I have ALOT of learning to do,,,. One thing that I need to get figured out is the footstraps / footholds. I am pretty sure I need a FFH. But otherwise the ski ran FLAWLESS, and the hull is just incredible. I could not possibly be any happier with the ski. It handles on the water like how I would imagine a Ferrari handles on pavement, night and day better then my RN. The 865 delivers linear smooth, yet VIOLENTLY strong BRAPAGE. I cannot wait to put in time on flat water and experiment and learning the handling, and getting use to riding a pole ski.
