Installed the KP steering today and wow this steering is impressive! The way you can adjust the steering stop is worth the price alone. No slop with the bearing. Went with the regular steering and no suspension. Hoping this will help with air time for my flat water flops. Just need to figure...
That was because the firewall was sealed with rtv and chewing gum. :p I stripped mine down completely and fixed all those issues with new glass and resin.

Found some rubber/neoprene type weather stripping from home depot. 1" and can be compressed down to 1/8". So far its held up well on my surf ski. so trying on the mate.
Took her all apart again to try and re-align everything. Also put the kids to work scrapping off the old hood seal so I could put a new one down. I got the vibration pretty damn close to gone but still have it. Hopefully the mounts break in and loosen up a bit this season.
I tried the torch and hammer but just bent my screw driver I had holding the shaft. It is also still in the hull. Thinking be easier to remove the prop rather then the bearing/midshaft thing the ski has.
