the new sealing washer on a plug should seal that if the threads are good and the plug torques up .
unless the recess is chewed up or the dome is cracked.

i was also thinking of an old 3 wheeler atc.usually smaller and lighter.a 50cc would do the job if geared down.

golf cart hardware is way too heavy for our needs.plus they usually run on 24v so need at least 2 good 12v batteries and them biatches bees heavy.i know some beaches do not allow motorized vehicles on them but if you get a gas motor and muffle it real well with the help of the frame tubing it...

i have a 4 wheel cart and it's still a pain to pull it in pensacola.needs at least 2 to pull after a days ride.pulling to the water is easier but when you've got to go up a small dune ,forget it.

tried with a dual motor electric wheelchair.works ok on hard surface but once in sand,it bogs down and sucks battery power asap.plus heavy with the batteries.possibly gear it down with a toothed belt drive but didn't get that far yet.
have a ryoby gas cultivator.gonna try it next with a belt...
