on most aftermarket hulls the bulkhead is flat with no recess for the midbearing housing's lip seal unlike the oem hull. what mods need to be done to bearing mount?just cut off seal lip?then silicone for a seal?

get an aftermarket grate on that boat.then you'll see a difference.

or the bore is worn out where the plate hits it,or the plate is worn from vibration where it meets the shaft at the bore,or,or,or!

i bought a pair but by the time they made it to new orleans,they were called hurricanes so not sure if the performance is the same.

the way it eats through paint,i'd be concerned with the fiberglass.

the main(the larger of the 2) is on the top behind the metering plate..there's no way the main will fit in the pilot hole so no worries. nightrider,the freezer will make the rubber only harder so therefore more difficult to put it.rubber does not shrink like metal in cold temps.

boring will lower your timing a bit but depends on how sleeves are cut on port job.
