I sortened my stock sj pole, and I"m using the xmetal bars and ride plate! Took a bit to get used to, but I like it alot now! I can move foreward in the tray alot further. The xmetal bars and turnplate with umi bearing is 195. I really want a worx grate. I ride choppy lakes, and I'm all over...

I got the umi kit when I ordered my xmetal bars from the guys at xmetal. THey said just to grease everything and it shouuld last a long time!

I think 96 and newer used a neoprene type gaskit, which made it easier to pull. The older ones, just sat in and had a bead of silicone, or the like around it, which made it alot harder to pull. I can never pull it with out the puller. I just unbolt everything, and then run up to the dealer and...

Regarding the impeller, that particular model the drive shaft should have splines that fit into the impeller. there is some slip/movment front to back. There should be a rubber piece on the end of the shaft where it goes into the impeller. thats odd that the shaft spins but not the impeller...

Go to PWCtoday, and post in the seadoo forum, or PM Bill O'Neil from watercraft magic. I'm sure he could shed some light on it for you. He's a bit of a seadoo know it all. I would check fuel lines, and pulse lines, clip spark plug wires back, and retun.

ya, it makes sense, to design it were you can drain the water out. Especually when you spend that kinda money on a nice hull. I would hate to buy one only to have to cut it up later to drain water logged foam out.

I was thinking, like on my seadoo, they have styrafoam wedge around the sides between the top and botom halfs. Wonder why they dont do that on the stand ups? Or something simlar. That would allow water to drain into the hull and then out the back if there were drain plugs.

ah, I Thought maybe they were built differently, mabe reinforced so there wasnt foam in them, and had drain plugs.

do aftermarket hulls have this issue aswell? I'm assuming no.

I hope they dont stop making them.. wonder what would happen to all of us if they did.. all you could do was keep reparing..

you think they could just put some drains in it or something. I just worried about mine getting wet. I sealed up the holes in the hull with 5200.. hoping thats enough. I bought the ski used though, the stickers were still over the holes. I think its ok though, cause it wasn't ridden much.

where did u go in to de foam? I though most people had to cut out the tray??? I also dont understand if this is such a problem why yamaha doest change the design??

ya, my subs aren't great yet, but couldn't do it before the shorting. I have -2 degree xmetal turn plate I'm waiting on. Cant wait to try it after that!

ah, I might meet up with you guys sometime them! I'm new to stand up, maybe I can learn some tricks from you guys.
