op is talking sxi.not sxi pro which is a major step ahead in handling. sxi can be made to handle with the usual bolt ons and the most aggresive grate you can find but still not an sxr so expect to be smoked in turns.

ideally you'd need 1 plug on each side of pump.

the old ones didn't have a weld spot that tied both liners together.an old one can easily be modded with a simple drilled hole and a weld.most old pipes never had problems.

just waterlogged like most of them. only cure is to cut it open,remove all wet foam,refoam,reseal every entry point,instal drain plugs and hope for the best. just installing drain plugs might help bit but foam will never dry out or at least not in your lifetime.

depending on application they may open up more without the stops but the stop also prevents them from twisting or fluttering so longevity can be increased. usually no hp difference with or without. in use,the reeds do more than just open straight up,they bend all kinds of ways,flutter, bounce...

these are micro holes so the mixture sees where to go next. no worries,they're fine but run the stops as mentioned.
