That is a good question... I would probably use PVC that is close to the right size and then use tape around the PVC to get it "perfect" and you could use those pieces to sand the strakes. I was personally just going to sand them by hand and maybe get a bit more scientific if that doesn't work...
I didn't shape them yet, but I think you are talking about the parts I filled in for the tunnel... Those are just filled with thickened epoxy using cabosil as a thickening agent and also used 1/2" and 1/4" chopped strand in the mix. Chopped strand allows the resin to really "hold together" when...
Thanks Scott! Funny you say that, my house is actually pretty mellow! My basement is tiny, but its what I have to work with. My entire life goal is to just have a freaking garage, im so tired of rolling around in the gravel. Don has seen the ledge you have to step up to get inside the basement...
Yes, it is slightly machined and fits nicely up against the bulkhead. I can also fix that if the new pipe fits too tightly. I didn't realize there were different types of PVC haha Im going to check 1 more place today and I will let you know! Thanks a bunch dudes!
Yeah OD wouldn't matter as much I should be able to make that work. When I was at the hardware store, PVC looked too big like the fit around the bulkhead would be sloppy and need to be filled with 5200 or something. I held this tube up to everything they had for pluming. I even called a plumbing...
Have a couple of parts off of a 750SX, don’t need them anymore.
AC Racing -2” aluminum handlepole, very nice condition with no stripped holes. Orange vinyl wrap could easily be removed but I think it looks fine. $350 + PP fees and shipping
Westcoast EP7500 cylinder head, I believe these are...
I am replacing this and other through hull stuff on my FX-1 build and this tube seems to be an odd size that I am having trouble finding. I did a 144 tunnel swap and it sits 2” further back from where the stock 120 pump sat. That being said, the midshaft through hull tube is too short to reach...
You just drop in and then smack the lip. I'm with it! Also not sure if anyone noticed but that is a NC Buddy Pelletier Surf Foundation tag, the best NC tag they make!
Got the tunnel “flaps” filled with thickened epoxy and made a template for reinforcement of the handlepole area. I cut my glass and set it off! 1 layer of 1708 biax
Not much time for pictures, working hard on a schedule!!! 2 layers of 1208 biax on the long shots, 3 layers inside the nose… stacked like bricks. 1 layer of 1708 biax on the keel, lots of beach rash. Turquoise? Why not…
