Next time try a welding torch and plastic bags. It makes the loudest bang that I have ever heard and wont send you to the hospital, as long as you're wearing ear plugs when filling the bags.
You need to equalize the temps, open the top screw 1/4 turn on the rear carb. Condensation? Do you do a lengthy blowout before heading home? Get the head and pipe up to 180 on the trailer, it takes a lot more dry revviing than Ive seen anyone do.
The back cyl has higher combustion temps. My single carb 701 got like that after a lot of full throttle riding. The rear plug was also lighter in color indicating higher temps. Easy to fix with dual carbs.
Combustion byproducts and moisture cause corrosion in an engine. Adding nitromethane makes it even worse. My experience is with smaller twostrokes up to 60cc, corrosion is the main maintenance problem.
Doable but far from practical. Twice the fuel burn, and will melt pistons fast if tuned too hot. Will rust all steel parts just like pouring a cup of water in your engine after every ride.
The small hub 12-17 is good, much like a pitched down Concord. Many people in my area are having problems with big hubs overloading. A Skat 12-18 large hub needs a three cylinder to turn it.
The only ski that benefits noticeably is 440-550s. The only way a Kawasaki becomes snappy is either with a programable ignition and/or race gas compression/timing. Shaving an ounce off the flywheel is hard to feel performance wise. I had a Vilder that was the lightest charging flywheel ever...
It depends on how you use the throttle. If you like to fan the throttle then a programable will make a noticeable difference. If you are slow with the throttle then there will be very little difference. The stock ignition timing goes from approx 15 degrees at idle to 21 and stays there. A...
You would need to know what you wanted and how to grade quality. There are plenty of high dollar A/M hulls out there that are crap. At least a stock hull provides a consistant level of crappiness that everyone knows to work with.
Im not talking about a company trying to make a fortune building hulls. Im thinking more like people building their own airplanes. There are some guys building hulls for themselves. I would like to see a few dozen more that would be willing to make make a few extras for materials plus a good...
