My hull weighed at 80 lbs even with absolutely nothing on it, no hood, no pole, no brackets, nothing. Thats with a perfectly dry fresh foam job and the 650 pump cavity. 92 is nothing to be ashamed of.
Viewing these makes me want to put tubbies and a bunch of lead in the nose of my ski....

average weights seem to be something like this.
550 - 220-240 lbs
fx1 - 250-270 lbs
SJ - 300-320 lbs
I know my empty hull weighed in at 80lbs, and I expect that to go up 7-10 lbs after reinforcement.
Starting to get the carbs dialed in. The entire time Ive thought the bottom was running really rich. 120 lows seem very high to me. Ended up turning the lows out 2.5 turns (on the OEM fine thread needles) and the ski woke up.
So since I'm already at 2 turns out on the high just to stay a...
But why go through all that work for a new one and keep OEM steering specs? Thats the first thing I change on a boat, as I dont like slow steering ratios.

I had a few different intake grates and found that the best was the really aggressive PJS one. However it needed to be sharpened and massaged in a few areas.
Thats pretty cool... but all that work to weld on and machine out new crank reed induction and you leave BN carbs? I think not sir!
Did you fill the intake port with epoxy and then machine a boost port down from it? Surely not using the transfers only?
